The Rose That Grew From Concrete by Tupac Shakur

Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it
learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.

Welcome to the Spring Semester!

Hello Students, Parents, and the Denman Community,

Welcome back to school! I'm very excited for this semester. In English Language Arts, we will focus on argumentative writing on topics ranging from the dangers of violent video games to the impact of mass media on body image. In Social Science, we will focus on studying ancient India, China, Greece, and Rome. We will have several field trips during the Spring semester, including trips to the Egyptian museum located at San Francisco State University (SFSU) and Alcatraz island, tentatively scheduled for February.

On this school loop site, you will be able to follow the day-to-day learning objectives and receive updates on assignments.

Malcolm X once said, “Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.” In order to fulfill your future dreams, it is necessary to start taking steps towards those dreams starting today. You are responsible for planning for your success.
